Building a Blended Learning Environment
This was a project as part of a Directed Research Group that I was a part of in my Master’s program in Human Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington. I participated in this project over the course of 2 quarters.
In the spring quarter, I worked with a directed research group to build a blended learning environment. Given my past experience, I was a natural lead on the project. I designed quizzes using Articulate Storyline and HTML 5 compliant design. I also helped guide the Moodle implementation team in how to best setup the online environment. At the end of the first quarter, our group presented at the Spring Open House, showing a poster and answering questions about our project.
While the group ended there, I continued into the summer quarter working with the professor as special project to plan and setup the implementation of the blended learning environment we had created. There I helped design the major assignments, integrated the in-class and online experience into a consistent syllabus, and created documentation so that the professor and future TA could manage the technology through the quarter.
